What this notice covers

This notice covers this website, registering your interest through the form on it, and getting in touch with us. The site does not ask you to create an account. If we start collecting anything else, we will update this notice before we do.

What we collect and why

When you register interest

The form asks for your name, your email address, your company name if you want to give it, and what you tell us about your business. With it we record whether you ticked the box for product updates and when, which version of this notice you were shown, and how you found us: any campaign tags in the web address you arrived on (such as which advert you clicked), the page that sent you to us, the page you registered on, and the country Cloudflare works out from your connection. We do not store your IP address.

We use this to tell you about early access and the launch, and to understand which of our adverts and pages bring people to us. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who have asked to hear from us. If you tick the box for product updates, we also send you occasional news about Trysquare, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any update.

If you register again with the same email address, your answers and your choice about product updates replace the earlier ones.

Bot protection

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated program, is sending it. Turnstile looks at your browser and connection, including your IP address, when the form loads and is sent. Cloudflare does this on our behalf, and also uses the information as a controller to improve its bot detection, as described in its Turnstile privacy addendum. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of automated abuse.

When you email us

We receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything you write. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our business, or, where you are asking about becoming a customer, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

When you visit the site

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages requested. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure and working website. We do not use this information to identify you or to build a profile of you, and we do not run analytics on this site.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own, does not store anything else in your browser, and does not use cookies for advertising or analytics. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people apart from automated traffic, and Turnstile relies on strictly necessary information in the same way to protect the form. Strictly necessary cookies and information do not need your consent.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We use these service providers, who process it on our behalf and under our instructions:

We may also share personal data with our professional advisers, with anyone who acquires our business, or where the law requires us to.

International transfers

Cloudflare and Google may process personal data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards in their data processing terms, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep the details you give in the register interest form until 12 months after Trysquare opens for sign-up, then delete them unless you have become a customer. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will, and the deletion is complete within 30 days.

We keep emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and then for up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless the conversation leads to a business relationship, in which case we keep them for as long as that relationship needs. Cloudflare keeps request logs only for the short periods its own service sets.

Your rights

You have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email hello@trysquare.app. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month. We do not make decisions about you by automated means.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
