Branding your workspace and PDF reports in Trysquare

Put your logo, name and colours on the app your team signs in to and the reports you send, and choose what each PDF report includes.

· 3 min read

Your workspace carries your organisation's name, logo and colours, on the web, in the mobile app, and on every PDF report. This guide covers setting your branding, choosing what reports include, and downloading a report.

Permission needed

Both settings pages need the Manage branding permission.

Setting your branding

  1. Open Admin settings from your workspace name at the top of the sidebar, then choose Branding under Workspace.
  2. Under Organisation logo, click Upload logo and choose an image, or drag one in. PNG, JPEG, WebP and SVG files up to 5 MB work. The logo saves as soon as it uploads.
  3. Set the Workspace name, and a Description if you want one.
  4. Choose a Theme: Light, Grey or Dark.
  5. Choose a Primary colour and a Secondary colour.
  6. Click Save branding.

A preview beside the settings shows the result as you go.

Your branding appears:

  • in the web app's sidebar, and in the browser tab's title and icon
  • in the mobile app, which uses your theme, colours and logo
  • on PDF reports, which use your name, logo and colours

Choosing what reports include

Open Admin settings and choose Reports under Workspace.

Changes apply to reports downloaded after you save. Reports already downloaded stay as they were.

Document

  • Cover page: a first page with your logo, name, the record's details, the assignment's status, who it was assigned to, when it started and was completed, and when the report was generated.
  • Record details: the record the assignment was carried out on.
  • Header text: shown at the top of each page. Leave it blank to use your workspace name.
  • Footer text: shown at the bottom of each page.
  • Introduction: text at the start of every report, such as the scope of your inspections or how to read the results.

Answers

  • Unanswered questions: show them as "Not answered", highlight them, or leave them out.
  • Photographs: include photos, and optionally limit how many appear per answer.
  • Comments: include comments made on answers.

Click Save. These settings apply to every form's reports.

Downloading a report

  1. Open the assignment.
  2. Click Download report.
  3. The report is generated in the background, and a preview opens while it is prepared. A report with many photos can take a little longer.
  4. When it is ready, check the pages and click Download.

The file is named after the record, the form and the date. Anyone who can see the assignment can download its report.
